Role overview

Cloud platform responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud services that manage infrastructure and control planes on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, management, and monitoring for Teradata Cloud services, sites, and offerings.
• Develop threat models to secure cloud platform services and meet compliance standards.

AI and software engineering responsibilities

• Use AI-assisted engineering practices to convert AI-generated prototypes into production-ready systems and improve engineering velocity.
• Design AI-powered features and agent workflows leveraging LLM technologies.
• Develop AI agents from ideation and prototyping through production releases on unified agent platforms.
• Operationalize agents with deployment pipelines, containerization, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with UX, product management, and platform engineering on product ideas and technical designs.
• Follow maintainable-code practices for usability, code style, integration, testing, and code review; review colleagues' designs, architecture, and code.

Minimum requirements

• Graduate or bachelor's degree in computer science.
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience and 3 years building and operating distributed systems on Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure.
• Experience with DevOps methods and strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language such as Go or Python.
• Experience in full-stack development, RESTful services, and SQL or NoSQL database concepts.
• Experience with Docker technologies, Kubernetes management or service development, and mission-critical 24x7 systems.
• Scripting experience for automation, reporting, and tool creation, using languages such as Go, Python, or Shell.
• Hands-on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud infrastructure experience, including cloud network administration.
• Cloud networking knowledge covering VPCs, ACLs, subnets, peering, DNS, and firewalls.
• AWS infrastructure-as-code experience with CloudFormation or Terraform.

Additional experience

• Experience influencing software engineering best practices within a team.
• Experience creating architecture for a service running in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud that serves businesses or the public at scale.
