Role Overview
Senior Java Software Engineer on Okta’s Azure Integrations team, focused on integrations with Microsoft’s Azure AD identity platform, including Entra ID and MSGraph.

Role overview
Senior Java Software Engineer on Okta’s Azure Integrations team, focused on integrations with Microsoft’s Azure AD identity platform, including Entra ID and MSGraph.

The role is based out of the Bangalore office and is hybrid, with a minimum of two office days per week.
What you’ll do
- Learn the Azure Integrations codebase and development process, including technical designs, code review, testing, and deployment.
- Refine requirements with product management and stakeholders; support bugs and customer-reported issues.
- Scope and plan engineering work to support successful project and feature launches.
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant components.
- Review pull requests, mentor junior team members, and collaborate across QA, product, support, documentation, TPM, and UX.
- Own features or systems and define their long-term health, observability, and reliability metrics.
What you’ll bring
- At least 5 years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
- Experience with systems of scale, from monolithic applications to microservices.
- Experience with server-side caching, asynchronous processing, and multithreading; team technologies include Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Redis.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and people from varied backgrounds.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred skills
- Microsoft Graph API experience, especially identity APIs, is a nice-to-have.
- Modern front-end development experience such as ReactJS is a nice-to-have.
