About the role
The Senior Development Test Engineer designs, develops, and maintains automated test frameworks.
The role works with development teams to ensure high-quality, scalable software and influence quality practices across the SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Build automated unit, integration, system, and regression test frameworks.
- Translate product requirements with cross-functional teams into test cases, user stories, specifications, and workflows.
- Review requirements and design documents for testability and quality coverage.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD build pipelines.
- Track defects and partner with teams on timely resolution.
- Drive testing, automation, and quality engineering practices; analyze results and report quality metrics.
Qualifications and required skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least four years of SDET experience with hands-on coding and test automation.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Node.js, Python, or similar languages; experience with test automation frameworks.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL API testing, CI/CD tools, Agile and SDLC, Git, and performance or load testing.
- Ability to work independently, identify problems proactively, and communicate and solve problems effectively.
Preferred skills
- Cloud experience, testing microservices or distributed systems, Docker or Kubernetes, and security-testing awareness are nice to have.
