Location: Mumbai/Bangalore Must-Have Skills
C# and.NET: Strong production experience with.NET Framework 4.x and modern.NET (.NET 8+), async programming, dependency injection, configuration.
Services and hosting: ASP.NET Core, Worker Services, Windows services, and hosting the same code base on Windows and Linux/containers.
Legacy modernization: Migrating.NET Framework projects to modern.NET, replacing System.Web/OWIN/WCF dependencies, multi-targeting, characterization tests.
Windows platform knowledge: WMI, registry, event log, certificate store, service accounts, 32-bit/64-bit and native interop.
APIs: REST design, versioning, authentication and authorization, OpenAPI.
Data: PostgreSQL (Npgsql, EF Core/Dapper), migrations; exposure to SQL Server and SQLite.
Reliability: Scheduling, retries, timeouts, cancellation, failure isolation, structured logging.
Testing: Unit and integration tests (xUnit/NUnit), mocking, TDD practices.
Good-to-Have Skills
Messaging (RabbitMQ), outbox and idempotent-delivery patterns.
Docker, Kubernetes basics, CI/CD pipelines.
Python for tooling and integrations; WiX/MSI installers.
Industrial protocols such as OPC UA; exposure to OT/ICS environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement services, adapters and agents with clear interfaces and strong test coverage.
- Migrate and refactor legacy components while preserving existing behavior.
- Build secure, observable and resilient components that run unattended at customer sites.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions and release support; mentor peers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
