Senior Software Developer (Java)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver functionality, documentation, unit tests, and integration tests within an Agile DevOps team.
• Guide junior developers and non-technical colleagues through the software development lifecycle; support timely, in-budget delivery.
• Understand product direction and solution architecture; collaborate, support teammates, and suggest process improvements.
• Analyze and document requirements for application and system features for business and technical stakeholders.
• Learn and integrate technologies and use AI to enhance productivity across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Senior developer experienced in fast-paced Agile environments, able to lead and contribute individually.
• Plan and implement software architecture using existing frameworks; strong Java, microservices, SOA, and distributed systems knowledge.
• REST and security awareness; object-oriented design; Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development.
• Relational database experience such as PostgreSQL; API specification integration; Spring and Spring Boot.
• OAuth2 and JWT awareness; Git expertise; coordinate technical work and estimation and communicate across cultures.
• Generative AI awareness for maintainable, scalable applications.

Nice to have

• Full-stack awareness and front-end technologies such as React and JavaScript.
• MongoDB.

Work arrangement

• Work from home up to two days per week, depending on team needs.
• Up to 30 days per year may be worked from any location in the world.
