Senior Software Developer – Business Applications & ERP

Role overview

Development and ERP

• Design and maintain backend services, frontend interfaces, business logic, APIs, workflows, and reusable application components.
• Translate manufacturing, inventory, procurement, sales, dispatch, and finance requirements into ERP solutions.
• Support ERP migration, UAT, go-live, and ongoing enhancements while maintaining transaction integrity and auditability.

Data, integration, and reporting

• Develop relational data models, SQL routines, database optimizations, and data validation and integrity controls.
• Build migration utilities to transfer, validate, and reconcile legacy data.
• Integrate ERP, internal applications, cloud services, and third-party systems using REST APIs.
• Create reports, dashboards, data extracts, and automation; support integration with BI tools such as Power BI.

Deployment, quality, and security

• Deploy and support applications on cloud or on-premises infrastructure, including configuration, releases, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Use Git, code reviews, automated tests, regression testing, and technical documentation.
• Apply secure coding, access controls, data protection, backup, recovery, and production change-control practices.

Collaboration

• Work with Finance, Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Sales, HR, and Management to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Coordinate testing, issue resolution, and deployment with business stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of professional software development experience, including production application development, deployment, and support.
• Strong Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular skills; strong SQL and relational database development experience.
• Experience with open-source frameworks, Git, collaborative development, debugging, and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of Linux and practical deployment or support experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud platforms.
• Strong written and spoken English and willingness to work on-site in Dubai.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with ERPNext/Frappe, Odoo, or comparable extensible business application platforms.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, cloud services, database migration, and production support.
• Manufacturing ERP experience, preferably in food, FMCG, or process manufacturing.
• Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent reporting experience; Oracle SQL is an advantage.
• Experience with ETL, external-system integration, Agile development, and application monitoring.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory/Microsoft Entra ID, networking, virtualization, and security or food traceability standards.

Work location

• The role is based on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,500–6,000 per month.
