About Clariti

Clariti builds community development software for cities and counties, including permitting, licensing, plan review, and related workflows.

Clariti is undertaking an AI-native transformation using small AI-native pods and an Agentic SDLC framework.

About the Role

The Applied AI pod owns the Agentic SDLC framework and is extending it into Professional Services and the Clariti AI harness.

The senior engineer builds infrastructure that helps other teams use AI safely and effectively rather than shipping customer product features.

The role owns architecture and implementation in a small, autonomous pod working with a Technical Product Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Build and evolve agent workflows, orchestration templates, and reusable components for the Agentic SDLC framework.
  • Design, implement, and operate MCP servers and core-system integrations with versioning, testing, monitoring, and least-privilege access.
  • Build evaluation harnesses, regression suites, CI quality gates, and scoring infrastructure for prompts and workflows.
  • Instrument token spend, latency, evaluation pass rates, and usage, then build dashboards and alerts for cost and quality telemetry.
  • Implement permissioning, audit trails, versioning, and output controls for trustworthy government-context workflows.
  • Build skill libraries, template libraries, onboarding flows, self-service tooling, and feedback loops for non-technical employees.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping production systems.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems used by real users.
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on depth with agent frameworks or coding agents, MCP or comparable protocols, structured outputs, and evaluation-driven development.
  • Comfort operating with high autonomy in a small team with a company-wide mandate.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in regulated or public-sector software where auditability and defensibility matter.
  • Prior DevOps, platform engineering, or internal developer platform ownership.
  • Experience instrumenting and optimizing LLM cost and quality at scale, including routing, caching, prompt compression, or fine-tuning trade-offs.

Success Measures

Within 90 days, take operational ownership of existing connectors and evaluation harnesses and deliver an initial framework improvement.

Within 12 months, deliver automated evaluation gates, per-workflow cost and quality telemetry, reliable connector infrastructure, and sustainable adoption of the Clariti AI harness.

Compensation

  • The base salary range is expected to be $103,000-$160,000 based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and pay philosophy.
  • Benefits depend on employment type.

Workplace and Travel

  • Clariti operates as a remote company.
  • Employees are expected to participate in occasional in-person company-wide or departmental meetings, typically one to two times per year.

Additional Conditions

Successful candidates must undergo comprehensive background checks focused on sanctions and criminal offences directly relevant to employment.
