Infrastructure and reliability

• Define the reliability roadmap and harden production workloads on Google Cloud Platform.
• Design, provision, and maintain secure, reproducible GCP infrastructure, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL or AlloyDB, and VPCs.
• Optimize PostgreSQL or AlloyDB, connection pooling, query performance, zero-downtime Prisma migrations, and backup and recovery.
• Monitor and optimize uptime, rate limits, and latency for Vertex AI inference and external LLM APIs; trace with LLMOps platforms such as Langfuse.

Observability, delivery, and security

• Build centralized telemetry and tracing pipelines using OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus/Grafana, or GCP Cloud Monitoring; establish SLOs, SLIs, and alert routing.
• Maintain automated build, test, and release pipelines using Cloud Build and containerized workflows.
• Enforce least-privilege IAM, secure secrets, prevent public exposure of sensitive databases, and maintain enterprise compliance standards.

Incidents and on-call

• Lead post-mortems, identify root causes, implement safeguards, and define incident escalation processes.
• Participate in a shared rotating 24/7 on-call schedule as a primary or secondary responder.
• Respond to P1/P2 alerts and triage outages, service degradations, and data pipeline failures during on-call shifts.
• Use PagerDuty, Opsgenie, or GCP Cloud Monitoring alerts to triage incidents and communicate status.
• Automate failure remediation and refine alert thresholds to prevent repeat incidents and support sustainable on-call operations.

Required qualifications

• Have 4 or more years of professional SRE or DevOps experience; high-growth SaaS or startup experience is described as ideal.
• Have hands-on GCP experience with containerized workloads, Cloud Run, networking, IAM, and security perimeters.
• Have production experience tuning, monitoring, and scaling PostgreSQL or AlloyDB under heavy read/write loads.
• Have fluency with modern backend architectures, particularly TypeScript/Node.js in the NestJS ecosystem, and Docker-based containerization.
• Have a proven track record managing production infrastructure state and multi-environment setups.
• Have experience architecting observability for distributed services and asynchronous job queues.
• Have practical experience securing data layers, encryption at rest and in transit, and audit logging for sensitive enterprise data.

Additional experience

• Experience monitoring and optimizing LLM applications, token-streaming latency, or vector search is a plus.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR, FADP, or equivalents is a plus.
• Experience in legal tech, enterprise SaaS, or data-intensive contextual AI systems is a plus.
