Senior Security Platform Engineer

Role overview

Cloud infrastructure and platform

• Own and maintain infrastructure-as-code and shared modules used by application teams.
• Manage IAM users, keys, and secrets lifecycle, including rotation and secure storage.
• Resolve production networking and infrastructure issues involving load balancers, security groups, WAF, CDN, DNS, and container orchestration.
• Administer access across supported cloud platforms and developer tools; evaluate platform and security tools.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot build and deployment failures.

SIEM and security operations

• Operate Elastic Security, including cluster upgrades, agents, integrations, and ingestion of cloud, identity, payment/fraud, and WAF logs.
• Build and tune detections and alert workflows, improve log parsing and signal quality, reduce false positives, and document the logging architecture.
• Oversee SOC priorities, escalations, investigation quality, and analyst mentoring.
• Investigate anomalous authentication, account compromise, and suspicious network traffic; coordinate remediation.
• Maintain incident response runbooks and WAF-based detection and mitigation capabilities.

Identity and application security

• Drive identity governance, cloud identity reconciliation, and license and access audits.
• Implement conditional access, MFA/authentication strength requirements, and legacy protocol deprecation.
• Partner with IT and security leadership on identity provider strategy and vendor licensing.
• Own security across front-end, back-end, and AI/ML systems; review code and architecture for vulnerabilities across mobile, web, and service layers.

Role qualifications

• Senior engineering capability across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and security operations.
• Comfort debugging Terraform modules, tuning SIEM detection rules, and leading incident response investigations.
• Ability to act as a technical escalation point for platform reliability and security incidents.

Compensation

• Salary listed as USD 145,000–175,000 yearly.
