Overview
Senior Secondary English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Grades 11 and 12.
Responsibilities
include preparing detailed lesson plans, designing formative and summative assessments, grading student work, and providing constructive feedback to support academic progress.
The teacher will contribute to curriculum development, integrate contemporary texts and digital resources, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Additional duties include maintaining accurate student records, communicating regularly with parents and guardians, participating in staff meetings and professional development, and supporting co-curricular and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- B. Ed. Mandatory. Candidates applying for the post without a B. Ed. will not be considered.
- Strong subject-matter expertise in English Teaching and English Literature at the senior secondary (Grades 11–12) level.
- Recognized teaching credentials as a Qualified Teacher, preferably with CBSE or equivalent senior secondary teaching experience.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including assessment design and differentiated instruction.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, learner-centered environment.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills and strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and colleagues.
- Comfort with educational technology, digital learning platforms, and 21st-century teaching methodologies.
- Experience in CBSE curriculum schools in the UAE or similar international contexts is an advantage.
