Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in assigned territory
  • Conducting product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
  • Collaborating with marketing team to create and implement sales strategies
  • Attending industry events and conferences to promote company's products
  • Tracking and reporting on sales activity and performance
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to clients
  • Business Development:
  • Researching and identifying potential clients in assigned territory
  • Cold calling and networking to generate leads and expand client base
  • Conducting market research and staying updated on industry trends and competition
  • Sales Management:
  • Setting and achieving sales targets in assigned territory
  • Collaborating with sales team to meet overall company goals
  • Providing training and support to new and existing sales team members
  • Monitoring and analyzing sales data to identify areas for improvement
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
  • Understanding and addressing clients' needs and concerns
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling products to existing clients.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field with at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Specialist in a related industry.
  • Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software, such as NetSuite and Odoo.
  • Advanced knowledge of business development, marketing strategies, and brand expansion.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Innovation: Propose creative solutions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is also beneficial.
  • Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting & Resource allocation.
  • Effectively manage improvement projects throughout the project’s life cycle, ensuring strategic alignment and deliverable focus.
  • Salary:
  • The estimated total target compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $200,000(salary plus sales incentive). Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
