Senior Safety Officer

Overview

Responsibilities

• :
• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety programs on site.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures for ongoing activities.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and project safety requirements.
• Support and assist the HSE Manager in daily HSE operations and reporting activities.
• Lead site safety inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and safety trainings.
• Monitor infrastructure and micro tunneling activities to ensure safe work practices are maintained.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Mentor and guide junior safety staff and site teams on HSE best practices.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, permits, and records as required.

Requirements

• Minimum
• 10 years of HSE experience
• in the UAE construction industry.
• Proven experience in
• infrastructure and large-scale construction projects
• .
• Strong background in safety leadership, risk assessment, and hazard control implementation.
• Experience in supporting HSE Managers with daily operational activities.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor site personnel.
• Thorough knowledge of UAE safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Hands-on experience in
• micro tunneling and infrastructure works
• is mandatory.
• Preferred professional certifications:

Nebosh

IOSH

• , or equivalent HSE certifications.
