Overview

:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Rust Developer to implement and optimize systems-level code for performance-critical applications.

This role involves designing secure, scalable components using Rust’s memory safety guarantees to reduce vulnerabilities in high-stakes environments.

Your work will directly contribute to building infrastructure that powers reliable, real-time data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend services and libraries in Rust, focusing on high performance and low latency.
  • Write secure code that adheres to Rust’s ownership model to prevent memory leaks, data races, and undefined behavior.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Rust-based components into existing systems and ensure compatibility.
  • Optimize critical paths in the codebase to meet stringent performance and throughput requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in Rust development, including testing, documentation, and tooling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Rust development, including ownership of multiple production-grade projects.
  • Strong understanding of Rust’s borrow checker, lifetimes, and concurrency primitives (e.g., async/await, channels).
  • Proficiency in system-level programming, including memory management, zero-cost abstractions, and FFI (Foreign Function Interface).
  • Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking, and optimization using tools like perf, flamegraph, or cargo bench.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and dependency management in Rust (e.g., Cargo).
