We’re partnered with a high-growth, product-led tech company building scalable, business-critical systems. They’re now hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails) to help evolve and modernise their core platform.

This isn’t a maintenance role.

You’ll be shaping architecture, integrating payment systems, improving performance, and helping transition a monolith into a more modular, scalable environment.

Our client: A performance-driven, e-commerce-led brand operating globally, combining digital products, subscription technology and community-led growth. The business is heavily focused on innovation, automation and scalable infrastructure.

They’re looking for someone who thinks in systems — not just sprints.

What you’ll bring 💻

• 4–6+ years strong Ruby on Rails experience

• Experience working on medium-to-large production systems

• Strong PostgreSQL and API design knowledge (REST / GraphQL)

• Experience integrating payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen, etc.)

• Background in performance optimisation and scalable architecture

• Comfortable improving legacy systems

Bonus points if you’ve worked with AWS, Docker, event-driven systems, or have experience beyond Rails (Go, Python, Node).
