Role overview

What you will do

• Analyze financial risks involving suppliers, foreign governments, and private-sector customers using available data and analytics.
• Review contracts and assess financial risk clauses; advise on financing, payment structures, insurance, bonds, and guarantees to reduce exposure.
• Advise on financial risk issues during contract management and support enterprise risk management, continuity planning, impact analysis, security, and training.
• Contribute to projects, working groups, research, reports, briefing notes, audits, and risk management policies and tools.

Candidate qualifications

• University degree in finance, commerce, or business administration.
• CPA or CFA designation in good standing and at least five years of financial risk management experience.
• Knowledge of financial management, accounting, cost accounting, financial statement analysis, due diligence, banking and/or surety risk, international trade, and relevant regulation.
• English is essential; bilingualism in English and French is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to attain Secret Security Clearance.

Work arrangement

• The successful candidate must be able to work in a hybrid environment in Ottawa, Ontario.
