Senior Resource Manager

Role overview

Work arrangement

• BIMM follows a hybrid model requiring employees in the office two days per week.
• The office is located in Toronto’s Distillery District.

Resource planning and allocation

• Own workforce planning, resource allocation, external talent management, capacity planning, staffing forecasts, and fulfillment governance.
• Translate client, business development, and financial pipeline forecasts into actionable resource plans.
• Evaluate demand against current capacity and determine where resources can be transitioned or redeployed.
• Develop fulfillment plans using employees, freelancers, contractors, vendors, and nearshore or offshore resources.

External talent management

• Maintain a centralized view of freelancers, contractors, staffing agencies, and nearshore or offshore partners.
• Initiate and support staffing requests through approved vendors to address resource gaps and future hiring needs.
• Maintain a roster of approved freelance resources across core roles, capabilities, and skill sets.
• Monitor freelance capacity, availability, capability coverage, and contingent staffing requirements.

Data and risk management

• Maintain accurate resourcing data, forecasts, utilization reporting, hiring requirements, and external resource information.
• Identify capacity constraints, overages, staffing gaps, workload concerns, and fulfillment risks.
• Develop mitigation plans with appropriate leaders and provide visibility into capacity, demand, and fulfillment plans.

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, project management, operations, or a similar role.
• Experience managing resources across multiple disciplines, client accounts, and project types.
• Experience translating business or financial pipeline information into workforce requirements and capacity forecasts.
• Experience managing or coordinating freelancers, contractors, staffing vendors, and other external talent resources.
• Understanding of nearshore and offshore delivery models.
• Experience maintaining resource plans, utilization data, capacity forecasts, and workforce planning information.
• Experience resolving resource conflicts, overages, capacity constraints, staffing gaps, and delivery risks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

Collaboration and tools

• Experience partnering with Operations, HR, Finance, Client Leadership, and department leaders on staffing and workforce decisions.
• Experience using resource management, project management, financial planning, CRM, or workflow tools such as M365 Suite, Excel, Sage Intacct, Float, Workbook, Jira, or similar platforms.

Compensation

• The annual total compensation range is $100,000 to $120,000 CAD.
• Base pay may vary based on city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
