Manage existing relationships and solicit suitable new business in the Contracting & Building Materials segment.
Source, originate, structure, and recommend credit facilities and banking products in line with business strategy and bank parameters.
Responsibilities
- Achieve financial and non-financial targets and prepare and implement account plans for the managed portfolio.
- Develop new business in the target market and review the portfolio regularly.
- Recommend credit facilities aligned with bank policy, maximizing earnings while containing risk.
- Monitor approval terms, covenants, security requirements, credit controls, and compliance across the portfolio.
- Support satisfactory audit ratings, asset portfolio quality, and credit management processes.
- Guide assistant relationship managers and relationship officers; assist corporate support and operations staff on customer matters.
- Act as backup for senior relationship managers and relationship managers when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- 10–12 years’ experience in Contracting Finance within Wholesale Banking.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s credit policy, operating environment, and regulatory framework.
- Ability to interpret profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Knowledge of banking products and services relating to working capital, term finance, investment banking, trade, and treasury products.
