Role overview

Imaging and patient care

• Perform X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other procedures within clinical requirements and authorized scope of practice.
• Acquire accurate images and maintain diagnostic image-quality standards.
• Apply radiation protection and safety protocols to minimize unnecessary exposure.
• Assess patient needs, explain procedures, and provide compassionate care.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain imaging equipment according to established protocols.

Clinical quality and teamwork

• Support radiologists and multidisciplinary teams in delivering diagnostic services.
• Review image quality, identify technical issues, and implement corrective measures where appropriate.
• Maintain patient records, imaging documentation, and quality assurance reports.
• Mentor junior radiographers and support clinical training and professional development.
• Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications and skills

• Recognized qualifications in radiography or medical imaging.
• Valid professional registration or licensing as required by the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection, and patient safety standards.
• Familiarity with imaging modalities, PACS, RIS, and relevant clinical systems.
• Technical, analytical, patient communication, attention-to-detail, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
