Senior Quantity Surveyor responsible for managing construction-project costs and budgets.
Supports projects in meeting schedule and budget targets through cost estimates, progress monitoring, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses at different project stages.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to determine project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and costs and adjust plans to stay within budget.
- Review contract documents, tender submissions, and final accounts.
- Manage procurement, including selecting contractors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contract terms, variations, and claims.
- Advise on cost-effective solutions and project-efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare monthly reports for project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of cost estimating, project management, and contract law.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and project management software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
