Testing and quality responsibilities
- Develop test plans, strategies, and scripts for web and mobile financial applications; build and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Design white-box and black-box tests for business logic, user interfaces, and data pipelines; establish QA standards, metrics, and validation techniques.
- Review requirements and technical specifications early in the SDLC, identify edge cases, and advise on quality, vulnerabilities, and architecture.
- Test performance, load, stress, scalability, security, and compliance; cover unit, integration, system, and UAT across desktop and mobile.
- Track defects and maintain traceability; collaborate with engineers on root causes and fixes; report QA metrics and status to leadership and compliance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a quantitative discipline meeting RQF Level 6 criteria.
- Typically 8 or more years of professional experience as a Software Tester, QA Automation Engineer, or Quality Analyst; FinTech, banking, or SaaS experience is ideal.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, or Postman; strong scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with JMeter or Gatling; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, and bug tracking such as Jira.
- Understanding of SQL, relational databases, and RESTful or GraphQL API validation.
- Strong attention to detail, root-cause analysis, technical communication, and ability to thrive in a high-accountability startup.
