Senior QA Engineer – ServiceNow

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies for ServiceNow implementations, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and releases.
• Create test plans, cases, scripts, data, and documentation for functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Lead automated test suite design and maintenance using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework.
• Establish testing standards, automation practices, and quality gates across development teams.
• Validate ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, HAM, SAM, CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
• Test ServiceNow integrations with REST APIs, IntegrationHub, web services, middleware, and third-party applications.
• Integrate automated testing into GitHub workflows, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate code changes, update sets, deployments, and release packages before production implementation.
• Manage defects through resolution and support root-cause analysis with engineering teams.
• Support release readiness, test coverage, upgrades, patches, quality metrics, and platform quality reporting.

Technical Scope

• ServiceNow Automated Test Framework supports regression testing, release validation, and platform upgrades.
• Testing covers functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, performance, security, and user acceptance activities.
• The role uses REST APIs, IntegrationHub, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methods, source control, update sets, and release management.
• Experience testing ServiceNow AI capabilities such as Now Assist and Control Tower is highly desirable.
• Fluent English is mandatory for daily collaboration with global teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, or enterprise application testing.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience testing ServiceNow implementations and platform capabilities.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies across functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and executing ServiceNow ATF automated test suites.
• Experience testing ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, HAM, SAM, CMDB, Discovery, or Service Mapping.
• Experience validating integrations using REST APIs, IntegrationHub, web services, and external platforms.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, or similar tools for Agile delivery, defect management, source control, and release management.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps, ServiceNow application lifecycle, update sets, and release management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required.
• ITIL Foundation v3 or ITIL 4 certification is required.

Working Hours

• The role requires working hours from 2 PM to 11 PM IST.
