Senior quality engineering role focused on reliability, correctness, and scalability of critical payment flows.
Owns end-to-end quality from test strategy and automation through production debugging and release readiness.

Quality and automation
- Own quality for deposits, payouts, reconciliation, and other critical transaction journeys.
- Design API-first test strategies covering REST, JSON, HTTP, and transaction lifecycles.
- Build and improve automated API and selective UI suites with Playwright, RestAssured, or comparable frameworks.
- Develop reusable API clients, test data builders, and automation utilities.
- Test payment processor and Open Banking integrations, including asynchronous callbacks, polling, retries, and failures.
Debugging and delivery
- Investigate incidents, reproduce defects, analyze logs, database records, and API traces, and support root-cause analysis.
- Improve system testability with backend engineers and define acceptance criteria with product teams.
- Contribute to quality gates, regression strategies, smoke tests, and pre-release CI/CD validation.
- Identify distributed-system risks and strengthen coverage, reliability, and engineering quality standards.
- Explore AI-assisted QA and automation techniques.
Required qualifications
- QA engineering, test automation, or related software quality experience with complex systems.
- Hands-on REST API testing with HTTP, JSON, request and response validation, and API-driven workflows.
- Strong backend, distributed-services, and integration-pattern knowledge.
- Experience with Playwright, RestAssured, or similar automation frameworks.
- Ability to diagnose issues using logs, databases, API traces, and debugging tools.
- Understanding of asynchronous systems, queues, callbacks, polling, retries, and failure handling.
- CI/CD pipeline experience with automated quality checks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Payments, fintech, or highly reliable transactional-systems experience is strongly valued.
- SQL and data-validation skills are an advantage.
- Distributed-systems experience is a plus.
- Prompt engineering or AI-powered QA tool familiarity is beneficial.
