Senior Python Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain scalable Python applications, backend services, and REST APIs using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Scrape websites and automate data extraction; handle dynamic pages, pagination, HTML parsing, and JavaScript-rendered content.
• Clean, validate, transform, and store structured and unstructured data; create scheduled scraping processes.
• Manage and optimize databases, integrate external APIs, debug issues, and improve application performance.
• Review code, collaborate across teams, mentor junior developers, and maintain technical documentation and quality.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5 years of professional Python development experience; strong Python and object-oriented programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI; practical web scraping, data extraction, and data processing experience.
• Knowledge of Beautiful Soup, Scrapy, Selenium, or similar tools; understanding of HTML, CSS selectors, XPath, DOM, and HTTP.
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON; good knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, unit testing, and performance optimization; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred skills

• Pandas; JavaScript-rendered websites and browser automation; automated data pipelines and scheduled scraping jobs.
• Data validation, duplicate removal, and error handling; Docker, CI/CD, AWS, or Azure.
• Responsible data collection, website terms of service, and rate limiting.

Compensation

• Listed pay range: ₹50,000–₹70,000 per month. The description also says salary is based on skills and experience.

Work location

• In-person work in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
