Senior Python Developer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Python applications with Django or Flask, APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Build scraping solutions using Selenium, BeautifulSoup, Pyppeteer, Playwright, or similar tools.
• Manage MongoDB design, queries, indexing, and optimization; implement Celery, cron jobs, and background tasks.
• Support AWS/cloud deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
• Work with WebSockets and real-time communication where required; write and maintain tests and clean, documented code.
• Use Claude and other AI-assisted tools for development tasks and validate generated code for security, correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with other teams and document processes, APIs, architecture, troubleshooting, and workflows.

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python/backend development experience.
• Postgraduate degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field; examples include M.Tech, MCA, or MSc CS/IT.
• Strong Python proficiency and hands-on Django and/or Flask experience.
• Experience with REST APIs, MongoDB, web scraping, Celery/background processing, AWS/cloud, WebSockets, and Git.
• Practical proficiency using Claude for code generation, debugging, test generation, refactoring, review, documentation, research, and effective prompting.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; ability to write clean, efficient, maintainable code.

AI-assisted development experience

• Use Claude to generate code, analyze issues, generate and improve tests, refactor, optimize, review AI-generated code, create documentation, and research solutions.
• Provide technical context and effective prompts, and do not rely blindly on AI-generated code.

Pay

• ₹40,000–₹60,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.
