Senior Public Health Pest Studies Specialist

Job Description

• Preparing specialized technical research, studies, and benchmarking comparisons in the field of public health pest control, and conducting scientific experiments on different types of pests and pest control methods in accordance with the best international practices and methods.
• Providing all capabilities and means aimed at ensuring that pesticides used for public health pest control are applied in accordance with approved instructions and guidelines, and that pest control operations are carried out effectively and safely in order to protect the safety of workers, the public, and the environment, in line with the best international standards and specifications.
• Preparing, developing, and implementing an emergency response plan for pesticide poisoning cases occurring in the Emirate of Dubai, monitoring such incidents, as well as collecting evidence, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports to support concerned parties and competent authorities.
• Providing all capabilities and means aimed at ensuring that pesticides used for public health pest control are applied in accordance with approved instructions and guidelines, and that pest control operations are carried out effectively and safely in order to protect the safety of workers, the public, and the environment, in line with the best international standards and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or Agricultural Sciences (Entomology, Pesticides).
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in the field.
