Senior Project Manager - Technical Services
Role Overview
• Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Planning and managing quality, safety, health and environment issues on projects.
• Risk identification and management.
• Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
• Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
• Advising upon the procurement of contractors and consultants.
• Co-ordinating with the overall cross-functional project team.
• Managing the change control process.
• Monitoring and advising upon project finances.
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
• Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
• Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
• Strong stakeholder management, understanding client key requirements and communicating/reporting accordingly.
• Able to manage full cycle project delivery of technical building services projects (ie, HVAC, Electrification, Chillers, Electrical/Mechanical etc) from the feasibility to delivery and handover.

Role responsibilities
- Establish project success criteria for time, cost, technical, and performance parameters; plan and manage quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Identify and manage risks; establish project governance, processes, and systems; and ensure detailed project plans are produced.
- Advise on contractor and consultant procurement, coordinate the cross-functional project team, and manage change control.
- Monitor project finances and manage project information between the team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
- Produce formal progress and other reports; lead interfaces with clients and consultants throughout project stages.
- Manage full-cycle technical building services projects, including HVAC, electrification, chillers, and electrical or mechanical systems, from feasibility through delivery and handover.
Qualifications and experience
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering field or project management, or relevant industry experience in building services and construction.
- At least 3 years of project management experience and ability to deliver projects autonomously with senior support.
- Relevant industry experience may include building, contract administration, electrical, HVAC, security, BMS, fire, or hydraulic work.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to understand client requirements and communicate and report accordingly.
