We are partnering with a well-established engineering and project delivery organisation that specialises in the design and execution of complex mineral processing facilities across Australia and internationally.
Due to continued project growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Senior Project Manager
to lead the delivery of large-scale EPC projects within the resources sector.
This role will suit a proven project leader with extensive experience across complex processing facilities involving commodities such as copper, nickel, gold, lithium, rare earths, or other critical minerals.
You will take ownership of the successful delivery of major EPC projects from concept and detailed design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex EPC mineral processing projects valued from $100M+
- Manage all phases of project execution, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover
- Develop and execute project delivery strategies aligned with client and business objectives
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, risk registers, and commercial performance
- Provide leadership to project managers, engineers, construction managers, and specialist project teams
- Oversee contractor and vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with project governance requirements
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maximising opportunities for successful outcomes
- Support business development activities, tender reviews, and project pursuits where required
- About You To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Significant experience delivering large-scale EPC projects within the mining and mineral processing sector
- Proven track record managing complex process plant projects involving commodities such as copper, nickel, gold, lithium, rare earths, or similar
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities
- Extensive commercial and contract management experience, including EPC and EPCM delivery models
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets exceeding $100M
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and client management skills
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment with multiple stakeholders
