Senior Project Manager (Infrastructure/Data Centre)

Role overview

Project and stakeholder leadership

• Lead major projects from concept through completion and establish execution strategies, governance, and reporting.
• Manage multidisciplinary design, commercial, planning, construction, procurement, commissioning, and project-controls teams.
• Act as primary client contact; manage stakeholder relationships, progress reviews, steering meetings, and executive presentations.
• Lead design reviews, value engineering, technical risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and coordination of consultants and vendors.
• Oversee construction, contractors, interfaces, progress, safety, quality, environmental and contractual compliance, and recovery actions.

Data centre delivery

• Manage hyperscale, cloud, colocation, and enterprise data centre projects.
• Coordinate MV/LV infrastructure, UPS, generators, chiller plants, CRAH/CRAC, BMS, fire systems, structured cabling, and IT infrastructure.
• Oversee commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing, energization, client acceptance testing, operational readiness, and facility turnover.

Commercial, procurement, and handover

• Manage budgets, forecasts, cost plans, changes, variations, claims, contract administration, risk, and commercial performance.
• Support procurement strategies, tender packages, vendor selection, supply chain interfaces, and long-lead equipment procurement.
• Lead commissioning, inspections, testing, acceptance, handover, project close-out, lessons learned, and final documentation.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of project management experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical sectors.
• At least 5 years in a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager leadership role.
• Proven delivery of mega/giga projects in the region and experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.
• Demonstrated project delivery in data centres, industrial projects, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, warehousing, processing, or similar facilities.
• At least 5–10 years of UAE/GCC project delivery experience, knowledge of UAE authority approvals and construction regulations, and Middle East complex-development experience.

Technical expertise and tools

• Expertise includes project execution planning, design and construction management, contract administration, procurement, commissioning, project controls, risk and change management, stakeholder management, and data centre delivery.
• Knowledge includes Uptime Institute Tier III/IV, ANSI/TIA-942, mission-critical infrastructure, commissioning and IST, reliability and redundancy, and operational readiness.
• Contract experience includes FIDIC, design-and-build, EPC, EPCM, and PMC arrangements.
• Listed tools include Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Aconex, Procore, and Microsoft 365.

Preferred qualifications and certifications

• A Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or an MBA is preferred.
• Listed certifications include PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-RMP, MCIOB, MRICS, Chartered Engineer, LEED AP, and Uptime Institute ATD.
