Senior Project Manager

Opportunity

Project and migration delivery

• Lead SharePoint migration and Microsoft 365 transformation initiatives with technical and business teams.
• Maintain integrated plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Coordinate readiness, testing, validation, acceptance, cutover, and transition; plan migrations to minimize disruption.
• Manage progress, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and deliverables.

Governance and stakeholders

• Lead complex workstreams and establish scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, governance, and decision processes.
• Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, executive reviews, and go/no-go decisions; maintain project controls and documentation.
• Serve as primary client contact; communicate status and build relationships with sponsors, business owners, technical leaders, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Partner with change and communications teams on readiness, adoption, and transition.

Financial, risk, and team leadership

• Manage budgets, forecasts, resource utilization, costs, scope changes, and commercial impacts.
• Assess and mitigate project, technical, operational, security, compliance, and stakeholder-readiness risks; maintain quality, acceptance, and handover controls.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate architects, migration specialists, engineers, analysts, change resources, security teams, consultants, and partners.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 12+ years of project management experience, including at least 5 years leading complex client-facing technology projects or programs.
• Experience leading enterprise technology migrations and/or Microsoft 365 transformations, including multiple workstreams, vendors, technical dependencies, and senior stakeholders.
• Strong financial and commercial management; knowledge of governance, risk, issue management, change control, testing, cutover, and transition to operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, or equivalent; strong executive communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications

• Direct experience leading large-scale SharePoint migrations; experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint on-premises, Microsoft 365, or related content migrations.
• Experience coordinating migration planning, execution, validation, cutover, transition, and post-migration stabilization; strong technical knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience in energy, utilities, oil and gas, broader cloud transformation, M&A, enterprise integration, large-scale programs, or Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery.

Location and work arrangement

• Calgary role with a hybrid schedule: 3 days on-site and 2 days remote at 10524 42 Street SE.

Contract and hours

• Three-month contract to start, with possibility of extension.
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Pay

• CAD 80 per hour, incorporated.
