Building And Construction Projects
- Ensure all building/construction project engineering activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s process and procedure requirements and compliance with relevant authority legislation and any other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Direct and control the building projects to ensure their design and construction are carried out as per the required regulatory, statutory, organizational, safety, and quality standards set and are completed within approved budgets and timelines.
- Assist in analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating the technical and financial proposals submitted by the consultancy firms with regard to building construction and provide expert technical advice on all aspects of building and construction engineering to other departments to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Manage all assigned projects efficiently through meticulous project planning and analysis. Review all contractual documents related to building/construction consultancy terms and conditions to secure/detect any loopholes in contractual terms which would be detrimental to the achievement of the project &/or organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement quality control programs.
Projects Scope, Reporting & Documentation
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Provide project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, gaps, reporting, and resource conflicts.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Provide input to budget management processes so that expenditure can be tracked, and accurate projections can be maintained.
Contractor And Consultants Management
- Coordinate activities in the project scope, as per schedule, within budget, and up to the quality standards by managing and evaluating the performance of consultants and contractors. Analyze schematics and determine if the project requirements are being met to ensure the functionality of the facility being constructed.
- Manage, supervise, and monitor the Consultant and the Contractor working on the construction contract of the project. Monitor and control all site activities to ensure the satisfactory completion of the project and report to the management on a regular basis on project progress vis-à-vis project milestones, budgets, and timelines. Conduct regular site visits during construction to ensure that all planned schematics are materialized accordingly
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in the continuous development and improvement of business procedures and systems ensuring optimum use of available resources.
- Develop and implement processes to achieve a high standard of customer experience by ensuring proper communication of TECOM’s and regulators’ processes for the fit-out works.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering or relevant field
- PMP certification is preferable.
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 of years experience in civil engineering services, preferably within the project management field.
