Role Description
This part-time hybrid role for a Senior Project Manager at Facultad de Ciencias Económicas - Universidad Nacional de Colombia is based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of academic, research, and administrative projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities
include defining project objectives, developing detailed project plans, coordinating with faculty, administrative staff, and external partners, and managing resources and timelines.
The role involves tracking progress, identifying risks, implementing corrective actions, and preparing clear status reports and presentations for stakeholders.
The Senior Project Manager will also lead project meetings, facilitate decision-making, and support continuous improvement of project management processes within the institution.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including Project Management experience and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Expeditor and Expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of project materials, approvals, and documentation.
- Experience in Inspection processes to verify quality, compliance, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of Logistics Management to coordinate resources, schedules, and deliveries across on-site and remote environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate effectively in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Experience working in academic, research, or public-sector environments, and comfort operating in a multicultural, gender-inclusive setting.
