Senior Project Engineer - Infra

Job purpose

Engineering delivery and leadership

• Lead day-to-day coordination across utilities, water, power, transport, ports, marine, industrial infrastructure, resilience upgrades and brownfield modifications.
• Define and coordinate engineering teams, assign work through discipline leads, provide technical guidance, monitor performance and address gaps affecting safety, quality, cost, schedule or productivity.
• Drive infrastructure solutions through studies, design development, detailed engineering and delivery support, considering safety, sustainability, resilience, constructability, maintainability and whole-life performance.

Proposals and project controls

• Support proposals by developing execution strategies, scopes, schedules, resource plans, deliverables, risks, assumptions and technical differentiators.
• Coordinate plans, contracts, schedules, milestones, deliverable registers and progress inputs; review forecasts, bills of materials and controls for accuracy and alignment.
• Plan and control execution through schedules, progress measurement, quality plans, change control, risk registers, resource forecasts and reports; monitor MOPC, CPI and WPI.

Stakeholders and technical leadership

• Coordinate with project managers, engineering managers, discipline leads, authorities, customers, contractors, vendors, operations and site teams; resolve interfaces and review comments.
• Ensure adherence to engineering practices, statutory requirements, customer specifications, standards, checking procedures and peer reviews; mentor engineers and designers.
• Make engineering coordination decisions within approved guidelines and escalate material contractual, regulatory, safety, technical, commercial or stakeholder issues.

Systems and tools

• Advanced user of Worley delivery systems, quality processes, document control and approved collaboration tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, Copilot and approved AI-enabled productivity tools; working knowledge of project controls, model review, reporting and digital delivery.

Essential qualifications and experience

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Typically 12+ years of engineering experience, including 10+ years in project engineering, supervision, project management or technical coordination.
• Experience delivering E, EP, EPCM or EPC scopes across critical infrastructure, utilities, transport, water, power, ports, industrial, sustaining capital or brownfield projects.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary, multi-location teams; review technical work; resolve interfaces; and support scope, change, risk, cost and schedule control.

Desirable qualifications and experience

• Professional registration or eligibility is preferred.
• Local professional registration, recognized project management training, EPCM/EPC exposure, site/procurement/construction/commissioning support, and familiarity with digital delivery, data-centric engineering and asset management are desirable.
