About Air Products

Air Products describes itself as a global industrial gases company founded in 1940, serving industries including healthcare and large-scale production.

Project and Role

The NEOM Green Hydrogen Project is a flagship, complex capital project being executed by Air Products under an EPC contract with NEOM Green Hydrogen Company.

The Senior Project Engineer supports safe, timely commissioning, startup and turnover and coordinates cybersecurity readiness against project execution requirements.

The role works across construction, commissioning, controls, IT/OT cybersecurity, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to support schedule, cost, risk, safety, quality and stakeholder management.

Coordinate cybersecurity compliance readiness to align commissioning and handover with SAIS / HCIS and National Cybersecurity Authority expectations.

The position focuses on coordination, follow-up, escalation and documentation so technical leads and cybersecurity managers can focus on design and compliance decisions.

Based in Duba, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia, on an 8-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off rotation; the role is site-based.

Site Duties

  • Support commissioning, startup and turnover in line with approved project plans, safety requirements and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, IT/OT, Mechanical, Construction and Operations interfaces for commissioning readiness.
  • Track schedule progress and slippages, expedite critical activities and escalate delays through project governance.
  • Coordinate cybersecurity readiness during execution, commissioning and turnover in line with project cybersecurity plans.
  • Coordinate SAIS / HCIS and NCA-related execution inputs across Engineering, OT Cybersecurity, Digital Technology and Project Controls.
  • Organize cybersecurity coordination meetings; track vendor, subcontractor and internal actions and dependencies.
  • Maintain action trackers for commissioning and cybersecurity readiness and report timely closure.
  • Support review of schedule, cost and compliance impacts from late design, installation, commissioning or startup changes.
  • Document and escalate technical, schedule, cybersecurity readiness and stakeholder risks.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering commissioning and cyber-readiness progress, risks and constraints.
  • Promote safety and compliance, including emergency management and emergency response requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, Electronics and Communications, IT or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • At least 10 years of oil and gas or large industrial project experience, with hands-on commissioning, startup or turnover exposure in the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated project lifecycle experience covering schedule, cost, risk, safety, quality and stakeholder management.
  • Working knowledge of industrial control systems, OT environments and execution-phase coordination in EPC / PMC projects.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance during commissioning and cybersecurity-related execution.
  • Support adherence to Air Products EHS requirements, site procedures and cybersecurity governance expectations.
  • Identify hazards, execution risks and compliance gaps and ensure timely escalation.
