Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Project Accountant, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Senior Project Accountant will oversee financial processes related to project accounting, including budget preparation, cost control, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring project performance, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing invoices and payments, and collaborating with project teams to ensure financial goals are met.
The role requires rigorous attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and excellent organizational and communication skills to support project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction/project accounting
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience in the Saudi market is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of:
• Project Cost Control
- Actual Cost vs Budget Analysis
- Revenue Recognition
• Retention & Progress Billing
- Subcontractor Accounting
- Financial Reporting for Projects
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs and profitability
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
- Manage VAT filings and financial compliance
- Track project budgets, actual costs, and cash flow
- Support management with financial insights and operational reporting
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, and engineering teams
