Role overview

Seeking a Senior Programmer with RPG IV experience to support business operations.

The role maintains the IBM iSeries platform and leads projects from definition through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve technical system and application issues, document findings, and recommend solutions.
  • Oversee IBM iSeries operation and maintenance; manage project resources and deliverables.
  • Design application solutions and stay current on system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with network staff to ensure reliable software and systems operation.
  • Evaluate iSeries systems and implement improvements for business processes.
  • Develop manual and automated procedures to address business opportunities.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of iSeries programming experience.
  • Strong proficiency in RPG ILE, RPG, CL, Query, DBU, SQL, and DDS.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, independent motivation, analytical thinking, and creative problem-solving.

Preferred tool

  • WebSmart development tool experience is a plus.

Pay range

  • Annual pay range is $80,000–$140,000.
