The Senior Program Manager will oversee and coordinate multiple technology projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, timelines, and budgets in a complex consulting environment.
In this part-time hybrid role based in Dubai, the Senior Program Manager will work both on-site with clients and remotely, facilitating communication among stakeholders, engineering teams, and leadership.
Typical responsibilities include defining program roadmaps, managing dependencies and risks, tracking progress against milestones, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of program outcomes.
The role involves leading cross-functional planning sessions, running status and steering meetings, preparing clear reports, and supporting decision-making with data-driven insights.
The Senior Program Manager will also mentor project managers, help improve delivery processes, and contribute to a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in program and project management for IT or software development initiatives, preferably in a consulting or client-facing environment.
- Strong skills in program planning, roadmap development, risk and dependency management, and stakeholder management across multiple teams or business units.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable program plans, with a solid understanding of SDLC and common delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, hybrid models).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts among diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding cross-functional teams, mentoring project managers, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and feedback-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities, including experience with program reporting, metrics, and using data to support decisions and continuous improvement.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting (on-site in Dubai and remote), with strong self-management, time management, and digital collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum certifications) are an advantage.
