About the role

Product ownership

• Own product strategy for scanning and risk-data capabilities, including how digital assets, technologies, vulnerabilities, and security posture are understood.
• Own the quality, accuracy, timeliness, and usability of scanning data and develop useful experiences, APIs, and data products.
• Balance coverage, precision, speed, reliability, and cost as the platform scales; roadmap new signals and use cases.

What you will do

• Develop product vision for collecting, interpreting, and delivering cyber-risk intelligence.
• Partner with Engineering, Data, Underwriting, Actuarial, Security, and customer-facing teams to improve capabilities and address user needs.
• Prioritize problems and balance new functionality with quality, scale, and reliability improvements.
• Define success metrics and use quantitative and qualitative feedback to guide decisions.
• Lead discovery, write requirements, shape solutions with design and engineering, and guide initiatives from concept through launch.
• Create reusable ways for teams and customers to access and understand risk data; communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Help the team apply AI and automation thoughtfully.

What Coalition is looking for

• At least 5 years of product management experience, including technical, data-intensive, platform, infrastructure, security, or developer-facing products.
• Experience building for multiple user groups and partnering effectively with Engineering, Data, Design, and business stakeholders.
• Strong product judgment; ability to turn complex technical problems into clear strategies and practical roadmaps.
• Comfort with data quality, reliability, APIs, analytics, and systems that produce probabilistic or imperfect information.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and willingness to engage with customer problems and technical details.

Bonus experience

• Cybersecurity, attack-surface management, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, or security operations experience is a bonus.
• Familiarity with large-scale data collection, distributed systems, data platforms, or developer tools is a bonus.
• Daily fluency with AI tools and a point of view on improving product development and security outcomes with AI are bonuses.

Compensation

• In Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, the base salary range is CAD 170,000 to CAD 190,000 per year.
• In other locations, the base salary range is CAD 150,000 to CAD 180,000 per year.
• Pay within the range depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
