Procure materials, services, equipment, and subcontracts for projects and departments while maximizing value for money and savings.
Maintain controls that ensure procurement complies with contract standing orders and procurement and financial regulations.
Review contracts, supplies, and suppliers to improve value, rationalize suppliers, and maintain an approved supplier list.
Ensure required procedures are followed for major procurement activities and report procurement activity and achievements to management quarterly or on request.
Compare BOQs with drawings; verify drawings, BOQs, supplier quotations, approved materials, and specifications before preparing LPOs.
Track LPO status and delivery schedules; follow up on approved drawings and samples with the design team.
Prepare quotation comparisons from at least three suppliers and coordinate quantities and delivery timing with project managers.
Coordinate stock checks with storekeepers and supplier payment status with accounts; maintain reserve suppliers and subcontractors.
Conduct site surveys, prepare LPOs in SAP, and investigate variations before releasing LPOs.

Ability to negotiate with suppliers at the highest levels and build positive supplier and client relationships.
Knowledge of procurement tools and techniques, tender preparation, and local-market procurement legislation.
Strong leadership in complex, uncertain environments, with the ability to coach and develop people.
A diploma is preferred.
