This is a full-time, on-site Senior Procurement Engineer – Civil role based in Abu Dhabi.
The role is responsible for managing end-to-end civil procurement activities, including identifying requirements, preparing technical and commercial documentation, and coordinating with engineering, construction, and project management teams.
The Senior Procurement Engineer – Civil will source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that materials, equipment, and services meet project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Daily responsibilities include issuing and managing RFQs, reviewing bids, preparing cost comparisons, and raising purchase orders in line with company policies and contractual requirements.
The role will also monitor supplier performance, maintain procurement records, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, cost optimization, and risk mitigation for civil works and related packages.
Qualifications
- Strong supplier management abilities, including Supplier Evaluation and vendor performance monitoring for civil materials, equipment, and subcontracted works.
- Minimum 10 Years experience in similar role out of which 3plus years into managerial role .
- Proficiency in procurement processes, including Request for Quotation (RFQ) preparation, bid evaluation, and Purchase Orders creation and follow-up.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for cost analysis, technical/commercial comparison, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with internal stakeholders, negotiating with suppliers, and preparing clear reports and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in civil procurement within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects, preferably in the GCC region.
- Familiarity with contracts, terms and conditions, and procurement best practices aligned with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP or procurement software and strong MS Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) are an advantage.
