It aims to achieve cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.

The description emphasizes Oil & Gas procurement, engineered equipment, long-lead items, and end-to-end procurement processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage procurement from requisition receipt through purchase-order placement, supplier follow-up, post-order expediting, and final delivery.
  • Source and procure materials, engineered equipment, and services; prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate bids, and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Procure long-lead items and major engineered equipment for Oil & Gas projects.
  • Monitor supplier performance, manufacturing progress, inspections, documentation, and delivery schedules.
  • Build supplier and OEM relationships; coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance.
  • Identify savings and process improvements; maintain procurement records and contractual compliance.
  • Use SAP and other ERP/procurement systems for activity management and reporting; comply with HSE requirements and company standards.

Requirements

  • At least eight years of Oil & Gas procurement experience.
  • Experience across sourcing, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiations, purchase-order administration, and post-order expediting.
  • Experience procuring long-lead items and engineered equipment for major Oil & Gas projects, including examples such as turbines, pumps, transformers, fire and gas systems, pipes, valves, control systems, and SCADA systems.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar packages within EPC, EPIC, or Oil & Gas projects.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract administration, supplier management, logistics coordination, and supply-chain processes.
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred; professional procurement or supply-chain certification is an advantage.
