Manage process engineering tasks and process-oriented projects, delivering studies and design work to project requirements.
Engineering and project delivery
- Ensure adherence to engineering practices, regulatory requirements, customer specifications and standards.
- Supervise process designers and draftsmen; prepare and check specifications and data sheets.
- Manage process design and changes within budget and schedule, coordinating with project teams and other disciplines.
- Prepare studies, analyses, calculations, reports, manuals and technical project documents.
- Review and approve technical documents, address comments and pursue customer approval.
- Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
- Participate in constructability, operability and maintainability reviews.
Experience and education
- At least 12 years of onshore/offshore oil and gas process design experience on Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Extensive process simulation experience for plants and pipelines.
- Extensive offshore engineering experience and experience processing highly sour production fluids.
- Willingness to travel to site and work in an operational support environment.
Technical knowledge
- Knowledge of ADNOC VIP/VAP assurance processes, API-520, API-521, API-14C, API-14E and applicable regulations.
- Experience with process simulation packages including HYSYS, PRO-II and Flarenet.
- Dynamic simulation experience is advantageous; pipeline modeling experience with OLGA, Pipesim, Pipeline Studio, Pipephase or Pipenet is advantageous.
- Experience with ammonia and hydrogen plants or refinery processes is advantageous.
- Chartered Professional Engineer status or undertaking the qualification is advantageous.
Site and safety
- Site experience is advantageous; willingness to travel to site is essential.
- Follow quality assurance and occupational health and safety procedures, promote HSE awareness, and identify and report hazards or incidents.
Communication and teamwork
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills; communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
- Work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and across multiple projects.
