What you’ll do

  • Deliver underground mine design, planning, scheduling and optimisation across a diverse range of mining projects.
  • Apply your operational experience to mining studies from concept through to feasibility, helping shape practical solutions.
  • Assess mining methods, production strategies, equipment requirements and project economics to support better client decisions.
  • Work directly with clients on technical advisory, project evaluation and due diligence assignments.
  • Collaborate with geologists, mining engineers and multidisciplinary specialists across WSP’s Australian and global network.
  • Take ownership of technical workstreams and, depending on your experience, lead projects, mentor others and build client relationships.
  • About you
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least five years’ mining engineering experience, with a solid background in underground mining.
  • Demonstrated experience in mine design, planning, scheduling and optimisation.
  • Sound knowledge of mining methods, equipment selection, production planning and cost estimation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical technical solutions.
  • Consulting experience is valued, along with strong communication, report writing and client-facing skills.
