Role overview
Oversee plumbing engineering activities on MEP contracting projects, ensuring quality installation and coordination with consultants, contractors, and site teams.
Deliver work in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE authority requirements.
Plumbing project delivery
- Supervise plumbing works across residential, commercial, hospitality, and other building construction projects.
- Oversee installation of water supply, drainage, sanitary, stormwater, and hot water systems.
- Monitor site progress, materials, manpower allocation, and project schedules.
- Coordinate pressure testing, flushing, commissioning, and system handover.
Technical review and coordination
- Review design drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, specifications, method statements, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and other MEP disciplines to resolve technical issues and avoid clashes.
- Identify site issues and provide engineering solutions.
Quality, safety, and team supervision
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
- Supervise plumbing engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
- Maintain documentation and progress reporting, and support timely completion of assigned work.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering qualification.
- Minimum 7–10 years of plumbing engineering experience.
- UAE MEP contracting industry experience is preferred.
- Strong experience with plumbing systems for building construction projects.
Technical knowledge and capabilities
- Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sanitary, stormwater, and hot water systems.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable UAE authority requirements and regulations relevant to the project.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and team leadership skills; able to manage multiple site activities and deadlines.
