Senior Platform Security Engineer

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Build eBPF-based runtime visibility and enforcement using tools such as Cilium, Falco, or Tetragon.
• Own security gates for image signing, software bills of materials, vulnerability gating, and policy checks.
• Set Kubernetes security content, including admission policy, workload identity, and network policy.
• Continuously validate Kubernetes control-plane and baseline security standards in production.
• Test controls limiting compromise blast radius across tenant boundaries.
• Investigate security-related operational anomalies and respond appropriately.
• Operate controls aligned with ISO 27001 and NIST and produce security evidence.
• Provide senior security escalation support, incident-review input, and mentoring.
• Independently monitor privileged activity across identity, certificate, and secrets platforms.

Required Skills

• Strong privileged access security experience, including least privilege, secrets management, and production auditing.
• Strong experience securing multi-tenant Kubernetes environments.
• Extensive eBPF-based runtime security detection and enforcement experience.
• Strong DevSecOps experience with delivery-pipeline security gates.
• Experience with Kubernetes and delivery-pipeline policy-as-code tooling.
• Senior security-fault escalation experience in a 24/7 production environment.
• Strong scripting or programming ability for security automation.
• Clear technical judgement and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• GPU or HPC infrastructure and multi-tenant AI workload security experience is preferred.
• Service provider, cloud, or colocation environment experience is preferred.
• ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST evidence-production experience is preferred.
• A relevant security certification is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience and training is preferred.

On-call

• Share the after-hours escalation roster with other senior engineers; first-line monitoring and response are handled by the operations centre.

Location

• Based in Australia or Singapore, with travel to Australian AI Factory sites as required.
