About the role

Newly created senior platform role reporting directly to the CTO and among the first two US engineering hires.

Own how NikoHealth software is released and operated while partnering with senior engineers.

The platform runs dozens of .NET services per customer on Windows Server and IIS in AWS across hundreds of provider tenants.

Initial focus is improving deployment and development experience to reduce release lead times.

What you'll do

  • Own the CI/CD pipeline end to end, including deployment decisions.
  • Build reproducible builds, practical local environments, and fast feedback on every change.
  • Run the substantial existing automated regression suite in CI.
  • Reduce release lead time and establish a committed release window for the fleet.
  • Make customer fleet version state available through a query.
  • Design and publish an access model that improves provisioning.
  • Bring runtimes and dependencies current, starting with shared libraries.
  • Document and share infrastructure knowledge across the team.

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
  • Production Terraform experience, including state ownership and drift reconciliation.
  • Production Windows Server and IIS experience, including application pools.
  • Previous end-to-end ownership of a CI/CD pipeline.
  • AWS experience with EC2, ALB, VPC, and IAM.
  • Demonstrated automation of a manual process with measurable before-and-after results.
  • Evidence of making other engineers faster through builds, local setup, or test feedback.
  • Daily working use of AI coding agents such as Cursor or Claude Code with tests and repeatable feedback loops.

Nice to have

  • Experience owning Octopus Deploy or another deployment orchestrator.
  • Experience with single-tenant or multi-tenant SaaS at meaningful scale.
  • Experience in healthcare, HIPAA, or another regulated environment.

How we work

  • The role improves and safely evolves a brownfield estate rather than rewriting it.
  • The team uses AI agents with tests, linters, project instructions, and repeatable feedback loops.
  • Most application development is performed by a long-standing engineering partner.
  • Coverage is shared with the CTO and head of engineering while the platform team grows.
  • This is a remote role; candidates must be based in the United States and should overlap US East Coast hours.

Compensation and benefits

  • Base salary range is USD 150,000 to USD 200,000 per year.
  • Compensation excludes equity and bonus.
  • Benefits include equity, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching up to 4%, and unlimited PTO.

Application process

  • Apply through the posting link and describe a system you inherited and the first thing you measured.
  • The first conversation will be with the CTO, the hiring manager.
