Senior Platform Consultant role for an outsourcing opportunity.
Design, deploy, administer, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise Red Hat OpenShift and platform infrastructure environments.
Work across architecture, deployment, Day-2 operations, troubleshooting, upgrades, migration, disaster recovery, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Operate enterprise OpenShift deployments across infrastructure environments, including bare metal, VMware, Nutanix, GCP, and AWS.
- Manage disconnected or restricted-network clusters and their images and platform components.
- Handle cluster health, ingress, networking, logging, observability, backup, upgrades, incidents, and disaster recovery.
- Integrate networking, storage, identity, security, logging, monitoring, GitOps, and disaster recovery.
- Support OpenShift Virtualization and Ansible-based infrastructure and platform automation.
- Administer and tune RHEL; troubleshoot across Linux, Kubernetes, networking, storage, virtualization, and security.
- Plan and execute production migrations, security remediation, access controls, failover tests, and recovery readiness.
- Use supporting DevOps tools such as Git, Argo CD, Tekton, Terraform, Vault, Python, and Shell scripting where applicable.
- Coordinate with technical teams and provide consulting, documentation, knowledge transfer, and customer-facing support.
Technical requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, Linux, DevOps, or related environments.
- Strong hands-on OpenShift experience and experience administering it in enterprise production environments.
- Experience with IPI, UPI, and/or ABI OpenShift deployments.
