Senior Planning Engineer ( Fitout)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master construction and fit-out schedules in Primavera P6 and MS Project; prepare tender, look-ahead, and recovery programs.
• Track daily and weekly progress against baselines, identify critical path activities and bottlenecks, and monitor procurement, long-lead materials, bespoke joinery, MEP coordination, and site execution.
• Plan and track labor, plant and equipment deployment, and subcontractor progress; integrate schedules with cost tracking and earned value management.
• Perform forensic schedule delay analysis, including Time Impact Analysis, and assist with EOT claims and variations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly executive progress reports and coordinate with project managers, directors, clients, site engineers, quantity surveyors, procurement teams, and consultants to resolve clashes.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 10–15 years of planning, scheduling, and project controls experience, including at least 5–8 years with a main contractor or turnkey interior fit-out contractor in the UAE/GCC.
• Track record on commercial, luxury hospitality, retail, F&B, or high-end office fit-out projects.
• Advanced Oracle Primavera P6 proficiency is mandatory; strong MS Project and MS Excel competency.
• Knowledge of UAE construction laws, local authority approvals, and standard contracts such as FIDIC; hands-on EOT claims and delay analysis experience.
• Power BI or other dashboard/reporting tools are advantageous; PMP or PMI-SP certification is an added advantage.
