Key accountabilities
- Prepare baseline and three-week look-ahead schedules with human and equipment resources; review with the Project Manager to support cost optimization and contractual completion dates.
- Prepare and update baseline budgets for resources and materials, reviewing them with the Project Manager to support profitability and prevent unexpected expenses.
- Monitor schedules, execution progress, subcontractor work, shop drawings, material submissions, procurement, and resource use; analyze discrepancies and propose corrective solutions.
- Control quantities, expenses, delays, commitments, and variation orders; prepare cost breakdowns and cash-flow forecasts to identify budget deviations.
- Follow up on disruptions, variations, and extensions of time; coordinate impact evaluation and prepare extension-of-time schedules.
- Monitor labor and equipment productivity to improve estimation and planning processes.
- Liaise with the client to defend extension-of-time claims and address planning matters.
- Prepare regular reports analyzing planning and cost deviations and proposing cost-optimization measures.
- Use lessons learned to reduce repeat risks and mistakes; coach and train junior planning and cost-control staff.
Qualifications, experience, and skills
- Requires an engineering degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Requires Primavera skills and fluency in English.
