Role overview

Contract details

• Contract role with a stated start date of 1 November 2026 and an application closing date of 17 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rock physics analysis for reservoir characterization, seismic integration, and geomechanical studies.
• Process and interpret acoustic and sonic logging data, including monopole and dipole measurements.
• Execute log quality control, data validation, editing, and conditioning workflows.
• Develop log normalization methodologies to ensure consistency across fields.
• Apply machine learning and data analytics to improve workflows and automate interpretation.
• Develop elastic property models and integrate petrophysical and geophysical data.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of oil and gas petrophysics experience.
• Strong rock physics and petrophysical interpretation expertise.
• Experience with acoustic or sonic log processing and interpretation.
• Extensive multiwell petrophysical analysis and field-scale study experience.
• Experience with log quality control, data editing, data conditioning, normalization, and environmental corrections.
• Practical knowledge of machine learning applications in subsurface data analysis.
• Proficiency with Techlog.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in carbonate environments.
• Familiarity with seismic-petrophysical integration and elastic property modeling.
• Experience with Python, data science, and machine learning libraries.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Technical skills

• Rock physics, acoustic and sonic log processing, multiwell interpretation, formation evaluation, and reservoir characterization.
• Log quality control, data editing, data conditioning, log normalization, machine learning, and data analytics.
• Integrated subsurface studies and Techlog software.
