Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar for a Senior Oracle APEX Developer & Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).
The professional in this role will design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications, including user interfaces, workflows, and integration with other enterprise systems.
They will administer Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security management, and monitoring.
The role involves creating and optimizing data models, supporting ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity and high availability.
The individual will also develop and maintain Oracle Reports, support software development life cycle activities, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Additional responsibilities include documenting systems and procedures, troubleshooting production issues, and mentoring team members on Oracle and APEX best practices.
Oracle Apex Development
- Design, develop, and implement Oracle APEX applications.
- Develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Build responsive web applications, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Integrate Oracle APEX applications with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
- Optimize application performance and database queries.
- Manage application enhancements, troubleshooting, and bug fixes.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and maintainability.
Database Administration (Dba)
- Install, configure, monitor, patch, and maintain Oracle databases.
- Manage RMAN backups, Data Guard, disaster recovery, and database security.
- Perform database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Project Collaboration
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical design, development, and deployment activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and support production releases.
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams.
Qualifications
- Active
Oracle Apex And Oracle Dba
- certifications are strictly required
- Strong database skills, including Databases and Data Modeling, with proven experience in designing, optimizing, and maintaining relational database structures.
- 5+ years of Oracle APEX development experience and expertise in Oracle development tools, specifically Oracle APEX and Oracle Reports, for building and supporting enterprise applications and reporting solutions.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web service integration. Experience integrating Oracle applications with third-party systems. Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive development.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including data integration, transformation, and loading between systems.
- Solid Software Development background, including coding standards, version control, testing, and deployment in an Oracle-centric environment.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database Administration, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and high-availability configurations.
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements, propose technical designs, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant Oracle certifications are an advantage.
- Several years of experience in senior Oracle APEX development and Oracle DBA roles, ideally within enterprise or mission-critical environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar as part of a collaborative team.
